Our History
What do horses have to do with Great Ideas Inc. and Corporate Sponsored Programs? Way back in the day, Elliott Rubin owned and operated one of the most successful riding, training, and boarding stables in Illinois. Horses were and still are his passion to this day, but after many years of success he felt it was time to supplement the costs of a growing family and many horses with an idea that would make profits all year.
In 1964 came his big idea... Great Ideas Inc. This venture into the world of Promotional Products was an obvious choice for Elliott, whose outgoing personality and firm commitment to service and quality soon gained him a growing "stable" of satisfied clients, using everything from double-eraser pencils to embroidered apparel... with names and logos prominently and colorfully displayed.
To keep an edge on his competition, Elliott decided on a new way to incorporate specialty advertising into corporate marketing strategy, spawning the "hassle-free, zero inventory" corporate-sponsored co-op catalog concept. This program, which is tailored to meet the needs of the sponsoring corporation, makes various specialty advertising products bearing the sponsor's name and/or own personalized imprinting, at very low cost... and in many cases FREE. The marketing possibilities within such a plan are limitless, and test the imagination of all who use them.
Now, having nurtured, fed, and watched this concept grow and mature, Elliott saw the need for another "great idea" which would specifically focus on bringing this concept to more and more manufacturers... enter son Scott Rubin... and a new division, Corporate Sponsored Programs Inc. was born. Fully backed by the strength and experience of Great Ideas Inc. - without a doubt the leader in it's field - Corporate Sponsored Programs, Inc. has launched a major effort to bring it's success to more and more of those who can tell a good thing when they see it.
