SUMMER 2008 UPDATE - We have been receiving, as well as finding online, sporadic reports that Limebarb customers have been getting their orders late. Many of these reports cited that they paid well in advance, and had completed all preparation (measurements, fabric choices, color schemes, etc.) quickly. However, they said delivery of their order missed initial deadlines. Some still arrived just before their event, but a few others missed their event. All recipients did at least say they were pleased at the fine quality of the costumes that were delivered. A majority of the public posts come from credible posters, and the email posters were generous enough to validate their transaction. We will continue to monitor the situation, and may re-open the site if deemed necessary. NOVEMBER 2007 UPDATE - From 2003 to early 2007, there existed the "Limebarb Cosplay Customer Reviews" webpage. It contained a number of customer reviews, which were almost entirely negative. These reviews were submitted by customers, or were quotes from public sources taken entirely in-context with links to the original source. They detailed a number of customer service problems that occured from 2003 to February of 2007. A good many of them, as well as insight from various employees, indicated that a number of these problems were the result of former partners of Limebarb (aka Barbara Staples). These partners were Ryan Williams (who was terminated several years back), and Julia Cretens - a.k.a. Jia Crens & Julia Crens. These two were also responsible for numerous public commotions and drunken behavior at conventions, which reflected poorly on Limebarb. As of late 2006, Limebarb and her staff have been working to improve on their past mistakes. They have been meeting customer deadlines, have been adequately communicating with customers, and the quality of customer costumes have been consistently good. This vast improvement has been due to the efforts of Limebarb's newer and more reliable employees and supporters. Positive efforts from Jim "Voltz" Kehring and Jackie "Jaquii" Helland to improve public relations, were very successful. Where, in the past, Julia was unwilling to work with us in dealing with customer problems (instead Julia saw fit to verbally abuse several of us, former customers who submitted bad reviews, and once verbally harrased one of us at a convention in public when it was apparent she was considerably drunk and/or high), Jim and Jackie were quite friendly and helpful. Even more importantly, the cosplay design and construction from Barbara "Limebarb" Staples, Tara Reich and Barb's other employees and supporters continue to improve in quality and dependability. With all of these improvements and the recent firing of Julia "Jia Crens" Cretens, it is the belief of all of those involved in the former "Limebarb Cosplay Customer Reviews" webpage, that Limebarb Cosplay have definitely gotten back on the path to success. As such, we've removed the original reviews page. This mirror has also been modified. We do enable people to still view the past negative reviews, should they wish to, but UNANIMOUSLY (7 out of 7 votes) support the notion that Limebarb Cosplay has done a complete 180° and is now a reliable cosplay comission business. |
